Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu announced on Monday that the long-awaited Halwara airport project is now in its final stage of approval.
&nbsp;
Sharing the update through a social media post, Bittu said a team from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) would soon visit Ludhiana to conduct a building clearance inspection of the Halwara airport.
&nbsp;
&ldquo;After years of hard work and a long wait for the people of Ludhiana, the dream of having an operational airport here is about to come true,&rdquo; Bittu wrote. He said this step marks a significant milestone in improving Ludhiana&rsquo;s air connectivity and would give a major boost to Punjab&rsquo;s development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
