The newly formed 15th Haryana Vidhan Sabha will conduct its second sitting of first session starting from November 13.
The first sitting of the session concluded after the elected MLAs took an oath on October 25, the second sitting will be initiated with the governor’s address.
According to reports, the first session of the assembly was not prorogued by the governor. The proceedings of the second sitting would be at least four days.
However, the final duration of the session will be decided by the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) before the house meets.
The reports further said that the newly elected speaker of the house Harvinder Klayan will announce the BAC and its decision much before the house meets for the second time.
The session will be held on Nov 13 and 14 followed by the three-day break on account of holidays. The proceedings will then resume on November 18 and 19.
Meanwhile the speaker further said that preparations are being carried for the upcoming assembly election and the session will be productive and effective.
He also requested the MLAs in the state that the development of the state could be taken forward only through the discussions and deliberations.
The congress which was supposed to make a comeback this assembly session, will remain at the backfoot, failing to announce the Leader of Opposition.
The Congress Legislature Party (CLP) had in a meeting held on October 19 authorised the high command to decide on the CLPleader’s name.
Former leader of opposition, Bhupinder Singh Hooda said, "We have authorised the party high command to take a decision. The central leaders are busy with the elections in states, including Maharashtra, Jharkhand and Punjab. A decision on this is still awaited.”
Meanwhile, the reports also stated that the second session may witness a tussle between the BJP and Congress over the latter’s postponement in deciding the Leader of Opposition (LOP).
