The Haryana government gave Rs 5 crore to Himachal Pradesh to help with relief work after heavy rains caused serious flash floods and landslides. The aid is meant to help the affected families and support the rescue and recovery work happening in the hill region of Haryana, said the Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini, on Monday.
Showing support, he said that during this time of crisis, the Haryana government and the people of the state are strongly standing by the families who have been affected.
Earlier, the Haryana government also gave financial help of Rs 5 crore each to the areas in Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir that were affected by floods. Saini said his government has promised the affected states that Haryana will always be ready to help them.
Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu and Kashmir have faced serious problems due to flash floods and landslides. These natural events have taken many lives and caused a lot of damage to property in these three states.
