The Haryana government on Tuesday appointed senior IAS officer Sudhir Rajpal as the Additional Chief Secretary of the Home, Jails, Criminal Investigation, and Administration of Justice Departments.
As per the transfer orders issued on Tuesday, Sumita Misra has been appointed as Additional Chief Secretary and Financial Commissioner of the Revenue, Disaster Management, and Consolidation Departments.

Prior to Tuesday’s reshuffle, Misra, a 1990-batch IAS officer like Rajpal, was handling the Home, Jails, Criminal Investigation, and Administration of Justice Departments.
The Haryana government on Tuesday transferred five senior IAS officers out of six, with immediate effect. The transfer order was issued by Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi.
Along with his new responsibilities, Rajpal will also hold the additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary of the Environment, Forests, and Wildlife Department.
Sumita Misra will also take charge as Additional Chief Secretary of the Health and Family Welfare, Medical Education and Research, and Ayush Departments, which were earlier handled by Rajpal.
Arun Kumar Gupta will continue as Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister and will also hold the additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary of the Finance and Planning Departments.
Saket Kumar has been posted as Commissioner and Secretary of the Urban Local Bodies Department and as Member Secretary of the Kurukshetra Development Board, in addition to his current responsibilities.
Ram Kumar Singh has been appointed Special Secretary of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department and Additional CEO of the Panchkula Metropolitan Development Authority.
