Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Sunday, warned the drug mafia, saying the government will take strong action against those harming the future of the youth.
Speaking at a public gathering in Nurpur, Kangra district, he mentioned that the police have been running major campaigns against drug traffickers in recent months, seizing assets worth Rs 11 crore.
The state government has also enforced The Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, which allows the detention of repeat offenders in drug trafficking to protect public safety.
The Chief Minister also launched and laid the foundation for seven development projects worth Rs 30.85 crore in the Nurpur Assembly Constituency.
