Himachal Pradesh Police have been put on high alert after the recent explosion near the Red Fort in Delhi. Security has been tightened across the state. Director General of Police (DGP) Ashok Tewari has instructed all Superintendents of Police (SPs) to stay alert, especially in border areas and other sensitive zones.

The DGP has asked officers to keep a close watch on suspicious vehicles, abandoned objects, and unusual movements. He also stressed the need for coordination with local agencies and other departments.

The police have issued a public advisory asking citizens to stay alert but not panic. The DGP said there was no reason for fear, but people’s cooperation was important to maintain peace and safety.

Citizens have been urged to report any suspicious object, unattended bag, or vehicle to the nearest police station or by calling the emergency number 112. The police have also appealed to people not to spread rumours or share unverified information on social media. They have asked everyone to stay cautious in crowded places and cooperate during security checks.

“The state police have strengthened surveillance and security arrangements across all districts, especially in border and sensitive areas. People’s alertness and timely information are crucial for overall security,” said the DGP.
