An IAS officer of Himachal cadre (1997 batch), Subhashish Panda, who is currently on central deputation and is serving as Vice Chairman of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), has been appointed Additional Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
His appointment was approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet and he has been appointed in the PMO office on a lateral shift basis for the balance period of his deputation tenure, that is up to 02.01.2027 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, according to a notification signed by the Secretary, Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on October 17, 2024.
Panda had proceeded on central deputation in the present government. He had served as Principal Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Office, Tourism Department and Public Works Department in Himachal Pradesh during the previous BJP government’s tenure.
He also remained a Deputy Director at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi.
Another retired IAS officer from Himachal Pradesh, Tarun Kapoor ( 1987 batch) is already serving as an Advisor in the PMO to realise the dream projects of the Central government in the energy sector.
