Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today intervened to ensure that ailing 70-year-old tribal resident, Dorje, was airlifted to help him get immediate specialist medical attention in a hospital outside Lahaul for best treatment.

On being informed that Dorje of Keylong Kabiling village of Lahaul-Spiti district was seriously ill and required emergency treatment, the Chief Minister requested the Indian Air Force to airlift him as Atal Tunnel was closed for traffic due to heavy snowfall.
The brave 'Touch The Sky With Glory' saviours did the needful and brought Dorje and another patient from Stingri in Lahaul Spiti to Bhuntar in an Air Force helicopter with the help of the district administration.
