HP to form panel on ACPS restoration for Veterinary Officers

The committee will be formed on the lines of the one constituted by the Department of Health and Family Welfare to resolve the issue.

Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Minister Chander Kumar meets office-bearers of the Himachal Pradesh Veterinary Officers Association (HPVOA) at his residence in Jawali.


The Himachal Pradesh government will constitute a committee to examine the restoration of the Assured Career Progression Scheme (ACPS) for Veterinary Officers in the state.

 

The committee will be formed on the lines of the one constituted by the Department of Health and Family Welfare to resolve the issue.

 

This assurance was given by Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Minister Chander Kumar to the newly elected office-bearers of the Himachal Pradesh Veterinary Officers Association (HPVOA), who met him at his residence in Jawali.

 

The delegation was led by Dr Rajnish Bharol, President, HPVOA, and included Dr Sushma Rana, Senior Vice-President; Dr Preeti Rana, Joint Secretary; and Dr Abhay Verma, District Secretary, Kangra.

 

The association held detailed discussions with the minister on the Assured Career Progression Scheme and submitted a memorandum to him in this regard.


The HPVOA also raised concerns regarding the infrastructure of veterinary hospitals and institutions. The minister immediately took up the matter with the authorities concerned and assured the association that the necessary funds would be released and pending civil works completed in a timely manner.

 

He said a formal meeting with all members of the association would be convened shortly in Shimla to discuss other pending demands and issues concerning Veterinary Officers in the state.

 

The HPVOA expressed gratitude to the minister for his positive response and commitment to resolving the long-pending concerns of the veterinary fraternity.
