Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today said that the Himachal Pradesh Government was ready to release water to Delhi as per agreement with the Delhi government.
While replying to the questions about the bye-elections to do three assembly seats, the Chief Minister pointed out that these seats fell vacant due to the resignation of Independent legislators. He emphasised that these legislators had the choice to support either the ruling party or the opposition.
The Chief Minister alleged that the reasons behind their resignation involved malpractices and it should be disclosed to the public.
He posed a question to the electorate of these constituencies, asking why these former MLAs, who were elected for a five-year term, chose to force bye-elections upon them.
The Chief Minister condemned the terrorist attack on a bus carrying the pilgrims in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, in which 9 persons lost their lives, terming it an act of cowardice.
