Former Haryana Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Monday accused the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) of playing with the future of the state's youth through flawed recruitment processes.
Reacting to the PGT Computer Science recruitment results, Hooda alleged that despite 1,711 vacancies, only 1,101 candidates were declared qualified, leaving hundreds of posts likely to remain vacant. He claimed the recruitment process, pending since 2019, reflects a pattern in which vacancies are not fully filled even after long delays.
Hooda said reserved categories have been particularly affected. He pointed out that only 53 candidates were selected against 342 SC posts, while several vacancies in BC-A and EWS categories are also likely to remain unfilled.
The Congress leader further alleged that similar trends were seen in other recruitment drives, including those for assistant professors, engineers and lecturers. He claimed many posts either remained vacant or were filled by candidates from outside Haryana.
Hooda accused the BJP government of failing to safeguard employment opportunities for Haryana's youth and demanded a transparent recruitment system to ensure all sanctioned posts are filled fairly.
