Hyderabad has emerged as one of the worst-performing districts in the digitisation process during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in Telangana. According to the latest status report released on July 18, although every single Enumeration Form has been distributed across Hyderabad, only 1,776,189 forms have been digitised out of the district’s 4,736,669 electors.
This leaves the city's digitisation rate at just 37.50 per cent, the second lowest in the state.
Only Medchal-Malkajgiri recorded a lower rate of progress, standing at 34.67 per cent, while Ranga Reddy reached 46.25 per cent. In stark contrast, several other districts have made significant strides. Yadadri Bhuvanagiri topped the state after digitising 87.91 per cent of its forms, closely followed by Siddipet at 82.97 per cent, Nalgonda at 82.05 per cent, and Rajanna Sircilla at 80.31 per cent.
Across the whole of Telangana, which has a total of 33,826,436 voters, 21,413,166 forms have been digitised so far, bringing the state's overall digitisation rate to 63.30 per cent.
