The prices of five-star hotels in and around Delhi are rapidly increasing leading up to the India AI Impact Summit (AIIS) 2026, as there has never been such a large number of international delegates, tech leaders and speakers in the city as there will be when the event takes place on February 16-20 at Bharat Mandapam.

Currently, the hotels are almost fully booked and customers are being asked to pay highly inflated room prices. For example, it is possible that prices have been raised 4X to 5X on some high-end suites (estimated to be between ₹4 lakh and ₹5 lakh) at hotels located in the central business district of Delhi. The huge increase in hotel prices has occurred because of the overwhelming number of people that have registered for the summit (over 35,000 delegates from around the world).

According to data provided by the hotel industry, it has had a significant effect on the price of hotel rooms. Aloke Bajpai, CEO of Ixigo, posted on X that any luxury accommodations in the NCR area are asking for at least ₹1 lakh per night between February 16 and 20 for the dates of the event. The Leela Palace, ITC Maurya and Taj Palace, which are all located in close proximity to the venue, have significantly increased rates, while other properties in the downtown area of New Delhi, such as The Imperial and Shangri-La Eros, have extremely limited availability the closest to February 18 and 20.

Room prices for The Imperial property that will be available on February 17 are about ₹2.4 lakh, while the Radisson Blu property charges are around ₹1.1 lakh.

The extreme demand for hotel room rentals reflect the magnitude of the AI Summit, which is expected to be the largest global AI summit ever held.
