Malender Rajan, Congress MLA from Indora, on Wednesday said India should not play Pakistan in the upcoming Asia Cup.
Raising the issue during Zero Hour in the Assembly, he said considering the strained relations between the two countries, it was not right for India to play against Pakistan. He urged that the permission given to the Indian team be withdrawn.
The MLA also suggested that a proposal be sent to the Centre and the BCCI through the Assembly Secretariat to stop India from playing Pakistan.
The Asia Cup will be held in Dubai and Abu Dhabi from September 9 to 28, with the India-Pakistan match scheduled for September 14.
