An IndiGo flight from Pune to Hyderabad was diverted suddenly to Vijayawada on Sunday morning because of air traffic across Hyderabad, sources reported. The plane landed safely at Vijayawada with no reported snag. Flight 6E 6473, which had taken off from Pune Airport at 8:43 AM, was headed for Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad when it was diverted.
According to airline sources, the pilot decided to divert the flight after being notified of congestion in Hyderabad’s airspace. Once conditions permit, the flight is expected to resume its journey from Vijayawada to Hyderabad.
Meanwhile, yet another IndiGo flight (6E 6152) from Kolkata to Ranchi had to be grounded at Ranchi's Birsa Munda Airport earlier this week after the pilot detected a potential problem with one of the front tyres.

Although some reports had said a puncture in the tyre, later, the airport authorities explained that there was no major issue. The pilot decided to return the flight for safety checks to take a precautionary decision.
The plane was supposed to go on to Patna and Lucknow after Ranchi, but those trips were cancelled. Passengers going to Patna were sent by taxi, while passengers for Lucknow were moved to other connecting flights. Everyone on board was safely deboarded.
