The IndiGo flight operations in Jammu and Kashmir resumed on Saturday after they witnessed nationwide disruptions over the past few days, prompting protests from stranded passengers at airports.
IndiGo officials said that nine of the 11 scheduled daily flights will continue routine flight operations from Jammu Airport; however, seven flights from and to Srinagar were cancelled, owing to nationwide disruptions caused by the airline's pilot-rostering issues.
The resumption of flight operations at Jammu airport has brought relief to travellers who were left stranded at the airport after a series of cancellations. The seven flights operated by the biggest air carrier in the country were cancelled at the Srinagar International Airport.
Although passengers in the region are accustomed to weather-related disruptions during winter times. Yet, these unscheduled disruptions are irking local outbound travellers as well.

The Airline on Friday was supposed to operate 36 flights from the Srinagar airport on Saturday, 18 inbound and 18 outbound, officials said on Saturday. However, due to the rostering issues, IndiGo cancelled seven arriving and as many departing flights, they added.
Further details were awaited, the officials said.
They said the nine restored flights will continue to operate at the Jammu Airport, but two flights to Mumbai and Hyderabad remain cancelled as of today.
Meanwhile, several passengers have complained that since the disruptions occurred in IndiGo, other airlines have increased the price for the same destination by Rs 4,000 to Rs 30,000 following the cancellations.
