The Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will hold the 'Ekatma Mahotsav Rally' in RS Pura, Jammu, to mark the fifth anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370. Leaders from the Jammu and Kashmir BJP units are expected to attend.
In light of recent terror attacks, security has been significantly tightened across the Jammu region. Checkpoints have been set up along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, where trucks and suspicious vehicles are being inspected.

This move bifurcated the state into two Union Territories: Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh. The government stated that the decision aimed to integrate the region fully with India, promote economic development, and combat terrorism.
