The Jammu and Kashmir government has formed an organising committee to oversee and monitor the smooth conduct of the International Film Festival of Jammu and Kashmir (IFFJK) 2026.
As per an official order, the committee will supervise all arrangements for the festival, which is scheduled to be held from September 7 to 11, 2026.
The committee has also been assigned with facilitating hospitality, accommodation, transportation, protocol, security, and other logistical arrangements for delegates, participants, and guests.
The members of the organising committee will coordinate with the concerned departments and agencies to ensure the timely execution of all festival-related activities and infrastructure support.
The festival aims to showcase Jammu and Kashmir as a premier destination for filmmaking, film tourism, and the creative industries.
Senior officials from the civil administration will monitor overall preparations and resolve inter-departmental issues to ensure the successful conduct of the festival.
The organising committee comprises the Administrative Secretary, Information Department (Chairperson); Director, J&K Tourism Development Corporation; Transport Commissioner, J&K; Director Motor Garages, J&K; Director Information, J&K; Secretary, Director Tourism, Jammu/Kashmir; Director Floriculture, Parks & Gardens, Jammu/Kashmir; Director Hospitality & Protocol, J&K; and Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages.
