J&K govt grants special casual leave on May 29 for Eid-ul-Azha

The order, issued under the signature of Commissioner/Secretary to the Government M. Raju (IAS), stated that the special casual leave will be applicable to employees intending to avail the leave on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.

The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Monday sanctioned one day of special casual leave on May 29, 2026 (Friday), for government employees in the Union Territory wishing to observe Eid-ul-Azha.

 

As per Government Order No. 1012-JK (GAD) of 2026 issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), the leave has been granted in connection with the observance of the religious festival across Jammu and Kashmir.

 

The order, issued under the signature of Commissioner/Secretary to the Government M. Raju (IAS), stated that the special casual leave will be applicable to employees intending to avail the leave on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.

 

Copies of the order have been forwarded to all administrative secretaries, heads of departments, deputy commissioners, and other concerned authorities for necessary action and circulation.
