Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has called upon the youth to actively contribute to nation-building by applying the skills and knowledge acquired during their university education.
Addressing the alumni meet of Sharda University on Wednesday, Sinha emphasised the transformative power of education in shaping the future of the country and improving the lives of its citizens.
"Education is a rare opportunity and represents infinite power. It is the only true asset, much like a small lamp that holds the strength to dispel immense darkness. Our youth must go beyond academic learning and explore the spiritual and cultural dimensions of education while cherishing its core values," Sinha stated.
The Lieutenant Governor underscored the pivotal role that alumni play in strengthening the educational ecosystem through networking, mentorship, and knowledge-sharing. He highlighted that successful alumni contribute significantly to enhancing the reputation of their alma mater and serve as role models for current students.
"Alumni serve as an inspiration for young students, motivating them to pursue their ambitions with dedication. The next two decades are expected to be a golden period for knowledge-driven economies across the world. As knowledge keepers, you have a responsibility to transfer the expertise and skills gained at the university to various economic sectors, thereby driving national growth and fostering a developed India," he said.
Stressing the importance of giving back to society, Sinha urged alumni to promote value-based systems in their respective professions and entrepreneurial ventures.
