J&K Lok Bhawan marks Statehood Day of Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram; LG Manoj Sinha extends greetings, highlights unity and development.


The Jammu and Kashmir Lok Bhawan on Friday celebrated the Statehood Day of Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha extended his heartiest greetings to the people of both the north-eastern states. He also prayed for the prosperity, well-being, development, and communal harmony of the people living in these states. The Lieutenant Governor called on both states to uphold the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’, as they had done throughout the decades.

He praised the diversity of India, saying its spiritual and cultural legacy clearly sets it apart worldwide, while building on the motto and ideals of unity and harmony.
 
Sinha said, “Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram are more than just geographical entities; they are living symbols of the nation’s cultural heritage and unity.”
 “These two north-eastern states are the shining diamonds in the crown of India. Their shared values, compassion, respect, harmony and strong community values serve as a blueprint for the co-existence of different groups in the country,” he said.

He also highlighted the transformative changes in the two states taking place under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He paid tribute to the great visionaries and icons of both states on the occasion.

On February 20, both Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram celebrate their Statehood Day. Both states are witnessing massive developmental changes. The government has started building critical projects in the two states due to their strategic importance, since both are closely linked to India’s overall national defence.
