In an exceptional academic achievement, Shambhavi Tewari, a student of Sacred Heart Convent School Jamshedpur, has secured a flawless 100 per cent in the ISC (Class 12) 2026 examinations, emerging as the national topper in the Bio Science stream.
The examinations, conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, saw Shambhavi set a rare benchmark of excellence with her perfect score. Shambhavi maintained a demanding study routine, devoting nearly nine hours daily to her preparation. Even during regular school days, she extended her study hours late into the night to ensure strong conceptual understanding and thorough revision.
One of the defining aspects of her preparation was her conscious decision to stay away from social media distractions. Her father, Rakesh Raman, credited this digital discipline as a major factor behind her outstanding performance.

Alongside her board exam preparation, Shambhavi simultaneously focused on medical entrance coaching, aligning both to strengthen her command over core subjects. Despite reaching this milestone, Shambhavi remains focused on her goal of pursuing a career in medicine. She is currently preparing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, scheduled for May 3.
Coming from an academically inclined family, Shambhavi has benefited from strong guidance at home. Her father is a Programme Executive with All India Radio, while her mother, Nibha Sinha, teaches Chemistry at St. Mary's English High School.
Her remarkable accomplishment has been widely appreciated by educators and the public, serving as an inspiration for students across the region to aim high and remain dedicated to their goals.
