On International Women’s Day, Bihar JDU leader Vijay Kumar Choudhary extended his best wishes to all women in Bihar and across India.
He highlighted that Chief Minister and JDU National President Nitish Kumar is meeting with the party’s women workers to recognize their contributions. He also praised Kumar’s efforts for women’s empowerment, saying the positive results of his campaigns are now visible.
Meanwhile, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav strongly criticised Nitish Kumar’s government, accusing it of failing to address women's issues in Bihar. He posted a video on social media, mocking Kumar as a "self-proclaimed creator of the universe" and "self-obsessed."
Yadav questioned the Chief Minister’s commitment to women’s welfare, asking who would hold him accountable for the problems faced by women in the state.
The video he shared, sourced from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, highlighted key issues such as 63% of pregnant women in Bihar being malnourished and anemic, a maternal mortality rate of 118, rising cases of breast and cervical cancer, and only 59% of women using menstrual products.
