Jharkhand BJP prepares to welcome PM Modi in grand tribal conference on Feb 11

After two postponements of his programmes in Jharkhand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to attend the party's grand tribal conference in Ranchi on February 11.

 

Although the State BJP is tight-lipped over the PM’s programme in the conference, party insiders confided that they have been told to prepare for the PM's programme on the day in Ranchi.

 

State ST Morcha President and former MLA Shivshankar Oraon, who has been made the coordinator of the programme, said that we sincerely hope that the Prime Minister will attend the mega conference.

 

“In the last meeting that was held for organising the event, we were told by the national office bearers that the PM will attend the conference and the preparations of the event should also be done on the same lines. However, a formal announcement on the PM’s programme is awaited,” he said.

 

Notably, the State BJP unit is gearing up to organise the National Tribal Conference to be held in Ranchi on 11 February. State officials, State Working Committee members, District Presidents have been entrusted with the responsibility to make the event a huge success as tribal representatives from all states like Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, North East will participate in the conference. Everyone will see a scene of their culture with their traditional costumes, dance, music and musical instruments.

 

State President Babulal Marandi has said that more than 1 lakh tribals will participate in the tribal conference.

 

He has asked every party worker of the ST Morcha to go to every village and booth and inform people about the work done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the tribal society.

 

Earlier, the PM was scheduled to visit coal city Dhanbad on January 27 and address a huge rally of the Party at Balliapur.

 

He was also scheduled to attend the inauguration ceremony of the Hindustan Urvarak and Rasayan Limited (HURL) plant at Sindri in Dhanbad.

 

In the year 2023, the Prime Minister became the first serving PM to visit martyr Bhagwan Birsa Munda’s birthplace Ulihatu in Khunti district of Jharkhand on his birth anniversary on November 15.

 

The PM on November 14 has also participated in a Road Show from Birsa Munda Airport to Raj Bhawan where he was given a grand welcome by the people of the State.
