The Jharkhand Congress held a meeting on Sunday to discuss strategies for the upcoming budget session of the state assembly, which begins on February 24.
During the meeting, state Congress in-charge K Raju urged party MLAs to actively take part in assembly discussions.
“All MLAs were asked to maintain 100% attendance in the House,” said Parliamentary Affairs Minister Radha Krishna Kishore after the meeting.
The Jharkhand budget will be presented on March 3, and the 20-day session will continue until March 27. This will be the first budget under the Hemant Soren-led government since the JMM-led alliance won the November elections.

Raju instructed MLAs to attend monthly district Congress meetings and discuss key issues affecting their districts and the public. He assigned 12 Congress MLAs the responsibility of overseeing two districts each.
He also supported conducting a caste census in Jharkhand, saying it would help communities understand their economic, social, political, and educational status.
Jharkhand Congress president Keshav Mahto Kamlesh said the party also discussed strategies to strengthen the organization and prepare for the upcoming urban local body elections.
