Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on the final day of State Assembly’s budget session placed strong emphasis on women’s empowerment, announcing a series of new schemes aimed at strengthening their economic and social position.
Highlighting the success of the ‘Maiyan Samman Yojana’, Soren said the scheme has emerged as a milestone initiative, benefiting nearly 50 lakh women across the state.
He said the programme has received the highest budget allocation, reflecting the government’s priority toward empowering women.
Building on this, the Chief Minister announced that several new initiatives will soon be launched to expand opportunities for women. These include the ‘Maiyan Balwan Yojana’, aimed at enhancing financial independence, and the ‘Maiyan Udyami Yojana’, which will focus on promoting entrepreneurship among women.
