To mark the silver jubilee of Jharkhand’s Foundation Day, the State Government will launch and lay the foundation stones of 166 projects worth ₹5,992 crore. Chief Minister Hemant Soren will inaugurate these projects during the main ceremony in Ranchi on November 15, giving a major push to development across sectors like education, health, roads, and urban infrastructure.
The projects include new degree colleges, hospitals, sports complexes, hostels, and major road networks aimed at boosting the state’s social and economic growth.
In the health sector, key works include the construction of a 50-bed Critical Care Hospital Block in Koderma (₹23.75 crore), renovation of Sadar Hospital, Dhanbad (₹14.48 crore), and establishment of a Pharmacy Institute and Critical Care Block at Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College, Hazaribag.
In higher and technical education, several projects are coming up in Dhanbad, Jamshedpur, Hazaribag, Dumka, Deoghar, Bokaro, and East Singhbhum.
Notable among them are new degree colleges at Musabani (₹39.09 crore) and Deoghar (₹33.10 crore), a Women’s Polytechnic in Dumka (₹41.64 crore), and a Research and Incubation Centre at Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribag (₹54.30 crore).
Among departments, the Road Construction Department leads with 63 projects worth ₹2,396 crore, followed by Water Resources (24 projects worth ₹2,082 crore) and Urban Development (24 projects worth ₹887 crore).
The Higher Education Department will execute 17 projects worth ₹412 crore, while Health accounts for five projects totalling ₹90 crore.
Officials said these projects reflect the government’s commitment to strengthening infrastructure, expanding access to education and healthcare, and ensuring inclusive development as Jharkhand enters its 25th year of formation.
