At least eight labourers were electrocuted on Monday while working at a road construction site in Chhapoli village of Rajasthan’s Jhunjhunu district. The site falls under the Udaipurwati police station area.
Udaipurwati Station House Officer Rampal said a gravel-mixing machine came into contact with an overhead high-tension electricity line. The contact caused electric current to pass through the equipment, affecting the workers in its vicinity.
The incident occurred while construction work was underway, and the labourers near the machine suffered electric shocks.
