The Office of the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir has praised the Tiranga Horse Rally organised by nomadic tribals in Rajouri district as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga initiative, calling it “truly inspiring.”
In a post on X, the LG’s office wrote, "Tiranga Horse Rally by Nomadic Tribals in Rajouri is truly inspiring. With pride in their hearts, every citizen is marching ahead on the glorious path of infinite possibilities. @dmrajouri #HarGharTiranga."
Ahead of the 79th Independence Day celebrations, Rajouri witnessed a grand Tiranga Rally on Thursday featuring a 2-kilometre-long National Flag. The event saw massive public participation, with the streets filled with patriotic energy. Police ensured tight security during the rally.
On Wednesday, Bhaderwah valley also hosted a colourful Tiranga Rally, organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Police and led by SDPO Bhaderwah Shoket Ali. Police personnel, students, and locals joined in waving a 100-metre-long national flag, spreading the message of patriotism and unity.
Speaking at the event, SDPO Ali said, Like in other parts of the country, Bhaderwah also witnessed a grand Tiranga Rally today to send out a strong message of patriotism and national pride." He added that the rally aimed to inspire unity and remind young people of the sacrifices made for India's freedom.
The rally began from the New Bus Stand Kotli, passed through key streets, and ended at the historic Seri Bazaar. The display of the 100-metre-long Tricolour drew loud cheers and applause. People lined the streets waving flags and chanting slogans like "Tiranga Hamare Jaan Hai, Tiranga Hamare Shaan Hai."
NCC cadet Akshay shared his experience, saying, "It was a proud moment to walk with such a huge Tiranga. This will always stay in my memory." The event ended with the crowd chanting "Bharat Mata Ki Jai," adding to the patriotic spirit ahead of Independence Day.
On August 9, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had expressed happiness over the “phenomenal” participation in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. He said it reflected the deep patriotic spirit that unites the people of India and their pride in the Tricolour. He also urged people to keep sharing their photos and selfies on harghartiranga.com.
The Ministry of Culture also posted on X, saying, "We are elated to see the enthusiasm surrounding the #HarGharTiranga campaign. From Kashmir to Lakshadweep and from Gujarat to Sikkim, the heartwarming images of people proudly hoisting the Tricolour show the deep connection that every Indian has with the National Flag."
