Former Union Minister and MP Anurag Singh Thakur today fiercely attacked the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, Congress and RJD coalition government in Jharkhand on the issues of corruption, appeasement politics and law and order.
Addressing two back-to-back public rallies of BJP’s ‘Parivartan Yatra’ in Palamu and Garhwa districts of Jharkhand on Monday, Thakur said that the corrupt JMM-Congress-RJD government is promoting love jihad, land jihad in Jharkhand and changing the balance of land and population in the State.
Thakur said that Jharkhand is demanding a change because instead of public welfare, jihad welfare work is going on here and BJP is the only party, which is committed to protecting the interests of Jharkhand.
“The present JMM-Congress-RJD government of Jharkhand has betrayed the people from the very first day. Today this government has become a symbol of corruption, unemployment, poor law and order and neglect of tribal interests,” he said.
“Today, under the leadership of Hemant Soren, the balance of land and population is getting disturbed due to land jihad, but the Jharkhand government is not concerned with public sentiment. Bangladeshi intruders are exploiting tribal sisters by luring and marrying them in places like Pakur, Taranagar, Gopinathpur, and Gayabthan of Santhal Pargana in the name of appeasement, but the Hemant Soren government has become the patron of Bangladeshi and Rohingya intruders with its eyes blindfolded,” said the MP.
He further said that due to the failures of the Hemant Soren government, the tribal identity has come under threat due to Bangladeshi infiltration. As part of a conspiracy, Bangladeshis are marrying tribal daughters and grabbing their land and the state government here is encouraging this misdeed instead of taking action against it.
The BJP leader said, “On one hand, the central government is working for the development of the people, while JMM has done corruption in water, forest and land in 5 years. In the Hemant government, the grains of the poor, mines and minerals are being looted, and the land of the poor and the tribals and the tribal identity is being looted. The Hemant government has not only looted mines, minerals, land and tribal identity but has also sacrificed the central government's Nal Jal Yojana and other schemes to corruption.”
Thakur said recently, the entire country saw the Income Tax Department raiding the premises of Congress Rajya Sabha MP Dheeraj Sahu and recovering more than 350 crores in cash. ED recovered Rs 17 crore from the house of a CA of an officer close to the Chief Minister, ED recovered more than 35 crores in cash from the house of the servant of the PA of his minister Alamgir Alam.
He said that the government, which made big promises to the people before the elections, gave only corruption to Jharkhand. They did a mining scam of Rs 1000 crores, and took away the army's land. This government gave nothing but corruption to Jharkhand. The Hemant government nurtured corruption, mafia rule and a loot system in Jharkhand, he added.
Thakur further said, "Hemant Soren had promised to provide employment to 5 lakh youth every year. Did people get jobs? Instead of giving jobs, Hemant Soren's government is making the youth run. They are making them run in such a way that the youth die while running.”
“One paper after another is getting leaked in Jharkhand and now in the name of papers, Jharkhand is being kept away from internet facilities for hours. Jobs are being distributed by taking money. Poor, young tribals do not get jobs. During the elections, he promised to give unemployment allowance to the youth, promised to give a pension of Rs 2000 to women, promised to give gold coins to newly married sisters, but Hemant Soren forgot all the promises after forming the government,” said the BJP leader.
