K9 Tyson recovering well after bullet injury in Kishtwar Op: Army

The White Knight Corps, in a post on X, wrote, “In the recent operation Trashi-I at Kishtwar, assault dog 'Tyson' displayed extraordinary courage by taking the first bullet while leading the entry into the terrorists’ hideout. Undeterred by his injuries, he pressed forward and launched a fierce assault, compelling the terrorists to open fire and thereby confirming their presence.”

The Army’s K9 dog, who helped security forces eliminate Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) commander Saifullah, along with two of his associates, inside their hideout in Dhok in the foothills of the Chatroo belt, is recovering well, officials said on Tuesday.

The Army said Tyson’s fearlessness helped troops of the White Knight Corps, police and the CRPF to precisely engage and kill the three JeM terrorists. The Army said that “Tyson is recovering well after he exemplified unwavering courage and devotion to duty, as a true warrior and a soldier in every sense.”
"The hunt continues – those who seek to disturb peace will find no sanctuary,” they said.

After sustaining a bullet injury to one of his front legs, the K9 soldier was quickly evacuated by helicopter and admitted to a veterinary hospital, officials added.
The General Officer Commanding of the White Knight Corps, Lt Gen P K Mishra, visited Tyson at the veterinary facility and reviewed his medical condition, they said.

On Sunday, three Jaish-linked terrorists were killed in an hours-long operation after security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the area following reports of the presence of the suspected terrorists in the region.
