A police official said on Sunday that the Delhi Police has formed several teams to catch the other people involved in the murder of a 35-year-old 'sevadar' at the Kalkaji temple.
Yogendra Singh was reportedly killed by a group of men on Friday night after an argument about how prasad was being shared. So far, five people have been arrested in this case, including the main suspect, Atul Pandey, who was captured by the locals right there. Four more people, Mohan who goes by the name Bhura, his cousin Kuldeep Bidhuri, Nitin Pandey, and his father Anil Kumar, were involved on Saturday. "Efforts are underway to trace others allegedly involved in the assault," Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast) Hemant Tiwari said.
The officer also mentioned that several special teams have been formed to catch the other suspects. These teams are now looking at CCTV videos, checking technical proof, and talking to people to get more information.

The DCP promised that all the remaining suspects will be arrested shortly. Singh, who had been working at the temple for almost 15 years, was beaten with sticks and fists after he reportedly refused to give the group chunni prasad because the stock was all gone.
Singh's younger brother, Kaushal, said the family is very sad because of the tragedy and asked the government for help.
"Yogendra worked tirelessly to support his family. He earned a living through his service at the temple, providing for his wife and children, including his six-year-old daughter with a disability. We have to spend over Rs 1 lakh for her treatment alone. We are now requesting financial assistance from the government so that her treatment can continue," Kaushal said.

He also mentioned that his brother had politely declined the accused's request for prasad.
"Yogendra explained that the prasad was finished. But instead of understanding, they dragged him out and started thrashing him so brutally that he could not survive. We cannot imagine why such cruelty was inflicted on him," he said.
Kaushal said that Yogendra's death should not be in vain and asked for the strictest punishment for everyone involved to make sure such a crime never happens again. Other temple sevadars were shocked and scared after the incident. Many said they are now unsure if they are safe.
"We serve the temple and the devotees with devotion. But after this murder, how can we trust anyone who comes here? The brutality has shaken us. We demand proper security arrangements for the safety of 'sevadars' and other staff working at the temple," said a fellow 'sevadar'.
