BJP MP Kangana Ranaut on Thursday said the Opposition has certain responsibilities, but instead of fulfilling them, they are creating unnecessary chaos in Parliament. She accused them of destabilising democracy and the Constitution through their actions.

While speaking to mediapersons, she said, "An Opposition has certain responsibilities. The country is seeing their behaviour in Parliament. They strangle democracy and the Constitution by creating unnecessary ruckus in the House. They enter the well every day. Ministers come well-prepared every day, but they don't let anyone speak on issues..."

She further stated that it becomes difficult to get one's number in the house to speak on important subjects, but the opposition doesn't seem to care.

She further said that it's already hard to get a chance to speak on important issues in the House, but the opposition doesn't seem to care about that.

Ranaut said, "The ministers have made so much preparation for the questions. No matter how big the subject is, no one listens to them; they do not care about anyone. Whatever the demands of our areas of the public... With difficulty, our questions are asked, with difficulty, our number comes. My number also came only once...I have many friends, and they struggle so much to get the number and every day, it gets annulled...and this way, I feel that the country is watching how these people have made fun of the constitution."

The proceedings in the Lower House was adjourned till 2 pm on Thursday due to loud sloganeering by the Opposition. The session began at 11 am, but Speaker Om Birla had to adjourn it because of the chaos. Before doing so, he requested Opposition members not to disrupt the House.
