Kangana Ranaut, BJP MP and Bollywood actress, launched a scathing attack on PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh during her visit to the Jogindernagar Assembly constituency on Tuesday. She accused the PWD Minister of being not able to accept his defeat in the recent Lok Sabha poll and flayed him for his political behaviour.
Earlier, Vikramaditya had targeted Kangana during his recent visit to Sundernagar saying that she had been neglecting her parliamentary duties and remaining largely absent from her Mandi constituency for a long time.
Commenting at both Vikramaditya and his mother and state Congress president Pratibha Singh, the BJP MP said, “There is competition in politics, but there are limits. One should not repeatedly throw mud at others or resort to an abusive language.”
She ridiculed Vikramaditya, calling him ‘Raja Babu’, who is not able to cope with his electoral defeat. She further accused Pratibha, who is an ex-Mandi MP, and her family of ruling the region for more than 40 years without ensuring any significant development. “Pratibha Singh has remained MP for years but she could not utilise funds for the development of the area and never raised the concerns of the local people in the Lok Sabha,” she added.
While addressing the gathering, the actress praised PM Narendra Modi for transforming the health sector since 2014 and popularising yoga worldwide. She stressed the importance of yoga for the youth, especially in fighting the growing drug abuse in Himachal Pradesh. “Yoga can help the youth stay physically and mentally strong,” she further stated.
