A former Kannada actress, Shobitha Shivanna, 35, reportedly, died by suicide at her flat in Kondapur. She hailed from Hassan district in Karnataka.
The incident was reported on Sunday afternoon.
Shobitha married Sudheer Reddy, a software professional, in May 2023 and moved to Hyderabad. Since then, she quit acting and was at home, police said.
According to the Gachibowli police, on Sunday afternoon, the couple were in different bedrooms. Sometime later, Sudheer came to her room and found her hanging and informed the police.
A police team has started the investigation. The room has been cordoned off for further probe.
Sub-inspector M Venkateshwarlu said: "Her husband and her family members have no clue about the incident. We hope to get more clarity in days to come."
