A student from KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, was found dead in an under-construction building near Mancheswar, Odisha. The deceased, identified as Arnab Mukherjee, was a third-year B Tech student from Bankura, West Bengal. He lived in a university hostel.
The circumstances surrounding his presence in the area, away from his hostel, remain unclear. Local residents discovered his body and immediately alerted the police. The Mancheswar police responded swiftly, taking Mukherjee to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead.
During their investigation, the police found a slip from KIIT University at the scene. They visited the university, where authorities confirmed that a student, Arnab Mukherjee, was missing. The body was identified as that of the missing student.

Mukherjee’s parents have been informed of the tragic news and are on their way to Bhubaneswar. Police have stated that further action will be taken once they arrive.
The cause of death has not been determined, and the investigation is still ongoing. The police are looking into all possible angles.
This incident follows another tragedy earlier this year when a third-year B Tech student was found dead in her hostel room. After her death, Nepalese students staged protests, accusing a fellow student of harassment. The accused student was arrested on February 17 and sent to judicial custody.
