KT Rama Rao, the working president of the BRS, has poured scorn on the Congress government, claiming it has turned state governance into a shambles or a circus. He alleged that the ruling party's own Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) were openly levelling accusations against their government, thus exposing the disarray within the party ranks.

Rama Rao highlighted several specific instances on X (formerly Twitter) to back his claims: The Congress MLA for Palamuru publicly admitted that the state government was withholding funds needed to address local issues.

In an extraordinary move, the Yellareddy MLA wrote directly to the World Bank, seeking money to provide relief for heavy rain damage in his constituency because the state government had failed to respond to his pleas.

He also pointed out that the Jadcherla MLA, frustrated by the State Pollution Control Board's lack of action, resorted to thuggish behaviour by threatening to burn down a local industry. Concluding his broadside, Rama Rao declared, "Endless anarchy and limitless ignorance reign in Telangana today. This is not a government, it is a circus."

Additionally, KTR said the decade of former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao‘s governance marked a golden age for farmers in Telangana, with farmers’ suicides witnessing sharp decline by 95 per cent between 2014 and 2023 owing to the BRS government’s welfare schemes.

Citing NCRB (National Crime Records Bureau) data, Rama Rao credited initiatives such as Rythu Bandhu, government crop procurement, loan waivers and irrigation projects like Kaleshwaram for bringing stability to farming households. However, the situation had worsened under the new Congress regime within just two years.

“Over 700 farmers have died by suicide since the Congress returned to power. This shows their neglect. KCR must return so that farmers can live peacefully for the next 100 years,” he added.
