Bharat Rashtra Samithi working president KT Rama Rao has launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, alleging that a "benami company" linked to him is actively harassing a 75-year-old woman. Taking to social media on Saturday, Rama Rao questioned Congress leader Rahul Gandhi directly, asking if this aggressive approach represents the "Mohabbat ka Dukaan" (shop of love) model the Congress party has promised.
The allegations stem from a complaint filed in the Supreme Court by Saurabh Agarwal, the director of Bengal Cold Rollers, who is currently embroiled in a legal battle with KLSR Infratech at the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT). Agarwal’s lawyer reported to the apex court that the police arrested Agarwal’s elderly mother as part of a campaign of pressure, after Agarwal alleged a nearly ₹150 crore fraud by KLSR’s management.
"CM Revanth Reddy's benami company KLSR Infra is harassing a 75-year-old lady," Rama Rao posted on X, accusing the Chief Minister of abusing state power and police machinery to silence opponents.
This follows revelations earlier in the week by Rama Rao, who exposed a massive alleged scam involving ₹6,000 crore in contracts awarded to KLSR Infratech. Despite the company being under insolvency proceedings, Rama Rao claims it is tied directly to the Chief Minister. He has demanded that these contracts be immediately canceled, the company be blacklisted, and central agencies launch a probe into the irregularities.
Moreover, KTR appealed party workers and voters to keep the municipal election discussions focused on the Congress governance and people’s grievances. He wanted them not to be drawn into Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s abusive politics, calling it a diversionary tactic.
In a message to party workers and supporters, Rama Rao said the elections should be about basic civic issues such as roads, drainage, drinking water, sanitation and delivery of welfare schemes at the ward level. He said the Chief Minister was deliberately diverting attention from these issues through provocative rhetoric to escape accountability.
