J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha visited SKIMS Hospital in Srinagar and inquired about the health and well-being of Shri Amarnathji Yatra pilgrims who were injured in the unfortunate road accident in Ganiwan, Ganderbal, earlier this morning.

 

 

The Lieutenant Governor met the injured pilgrims undergoing treatment at the hospital and wished them a speedy recovery.The team of doctors briefed the Lieutenant Governor about the treatment being provided to the injured pilgrims.The Lieutenant Governor directed the hospital administration to provide the highest standard of medical care to the injured.

 

 

He has also instructed the senior officials to ensure that all necessary assistance and personal care are extended to the pilgrims, and that arrangements for their safe return to their hometowns are prioritized upon their recovery.In a post on X, the Lieutenant Governor wrote: "Today, visited SKIMS, Srinagar, to inquire about the health and well-being of pilgrims of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, who were injured in the unfortunate road accident in Ganiwan, Ganderbal. By the grace of the Baba Amarnath, all 39 Yatris admitted this morning are currently in stable condition and responding well to treatment. I have directed the hospital administration to provide the highest standard of medical care to the injured.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today expressed deep concern over the road accident at Gund, Kangan in Ganderbal district, in which several Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra pilgrims returning to Srinagar after paying obeisance at the holy cave shrine sustained injuries.

 

The Chief Minister directed the Health & Medical Education Department to ensure the best possible medical care for all the injured pilgrims and deputed Minister for Health & Medical Education, Sakina Itoo, to Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura to personally oversee their treatment.
