Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday warned the dying elements of the terror ecosystem against spreading false narratives and the spread of misinformation-filled narratives in the country.
He said that those rogue remnants of terror would face strict action under the established legal framework.
Sinha said terrorists, separatists and their backers are no longer receiving government amenities, including government jobs in the UT.
“These elements, however, are identified and given harsh punishment for their wrongdoings,” he said.
“There are a few remnants of a dying terror ecosystem that are trying to spread fear and negative narratives against the country,” he said, assuring legal action against those anti-national elements.
His comments came while distributing the appointment letters to 41 next of kin of victims of terrorism in the Jammu Division.
“Article 370 abrogation has brought positive changes in the UT, as no terrorist or their sympathisers are given government jobs,” Sinha said.
He argued that “We haven’t bought the peace but rather established it.” He urged all sections of society to contribute towards the mega development of Jammu and Kashmir with dedication and determination.
On July 28, Sinha also distributed appointment letters to 94 next of Kin of terror victims from the Jammu division.
The distribution of these appointment letters will assist in the social upliftment of the affected families who were denied justice by previous governments for decades.
