Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday issued a stern warning to anti-national elements attempting to disturb peace in the Union Territory, stating that security forces would leave no stone unturned in pursuing them.
He said, “The peace people of Jammu and Kashmir enjoy today, with athletes competing and communities thriving in the region, has come at a very high price.” Sinha attributed the current atmosphere of stability to the immense sacrifices made by the Jammu and Kashmir Police, the Army, and the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).
“Thousands of police personnel, soldiers, and CAPF bravehearts laid down their lives protecting the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Our duty is not only to remember them but also to ensure that their sacrifices endure by preserving the peace they won,” he said.
Directly addressing those trying to disrupt the hard-earned calm, Sinha warned, “You will find no place to hide. We will hunt you down from the deepest depths.” He also highlighted the unifying power of sports, saying, “Sports have always bridged divides through their unmatched ability to unite people. Language, geography, social status, rank, and authority fade away on the field, where only courage and resolve matter.”
It is well documented that the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir has improved considerably since 2022, owing to strict security measures and tight control along the borders.
