Popular Punjabi lyricist Nimma Loharka, known for writing songs for top artistes like Diljit Dosanjh and Amrinder Gill, passed away at the age of 48. He had been unwell for the past several days.
Loharka was born in 1977 in Loharka village of Amritsar district. His funeral will be held in his native village. Throughout his career, Loharka wrote songs for almost every major singer in the Punjabi industry. His lyrics have earned a special place in the hearts of music lovers across the state.
Loharka worked with several renowned artistes, including Diljit Dosanjh, Ravinder Grewal, Malkit Singh, Feroz Khan, Nachhattar Gill, Inderjit Nikku, Amrinder Gill, Lakhwinder Wadali, Harbhajan Shera and Kulwinder Dhillon.
The Punjabi music industry, fans and fellow artistes expressing grief over the loss of the gifted lyricist whose compositions shaped many iconic Punjabi songs.
