Senior Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia on Monday make a series of serious allegations against Khadoor Sahib MP Amritpal Singh, following a viral group chat controversy. While addressing mediapersons at the party headquarters in Chandigarh, Majithia claimed that the administrator of the controversial group chat was Mahaan Singh, brother of Kulwant Singh — recently transferred from Dibrugarh Jail to Punjab. He said this connection sheds light on the network surrounding the MP.
“From day one, I have maintained that Amritpal Singh is a devil in disguise,” Majithia said, accusing him of threatening those who exposed him, including families of Kukki Gill and Gurpreet Harino.
He further alleged that Amritpal Singh had access to a mobile phone while in jail, citing earlier claims made by Daljit Kalsi. Majithia also pointed out that Amritpal’s uncle supported Congress candidate Bibi Khalra in the 2019 elections.
He said the MP was linked to gangsters based abroad and to Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI. “Someone who couldn’t help his own brother overcome drug addiction—how can he guide the youth out of it?” he remarked.
He also alleged that Amritpal was aware of the assets and finances of slain gangster Jaipal Bhullar, claiming the MP was merely pretending to be a devout Sikh.
To support his claims, Majithia released an audio recording allegedly featuring Amritpal Singh during the press conference.
