A 26-year-old man lost his life in a road accident in Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, after his scooty collided with a Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus on Friday night, the police said.
The accident occurred around 10:45 pm on the Hamirpur-Jahu road near Lamblu market when the deceased, Kapil, son of Naresh Kumar and a resident of Sera village in Nadaun, crashed into the bus.
Kapil was rushed to the Medical College Hamirpur but succumbed to his injuries, the authorities confirmed.
The bus driver, Suresh Kumar, filed a complaint stating that Kapil, allegedly riding at high speed, collided with the bus while crossing the market.
SP Hamirpur Bhagat Singh Thakur confirmed the accident and said an investigation is ongoing.
