A man lost his life after the car he was travelling in (HP 27 A 3990) fell nearly 70 metres off the road in the Rampur subdivision of Shimla district.
The deceased has been identified as Kama Dorje, son of Chattar Singh and a resident of Nako village in Kinnaur district.
As per the police, the accident happened on Friday when Dorje, who was driving from Bhadrash to Rohru, lost control of the car near Khanash Dhar. He died on the spot.
Rampur SDPO Naresh Sharma confirmed the incident and said a case under Sections 281, 125(a) and 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, has been filed at the Rampur police station. He added that further investigation is in progress.
