Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh will visit Jiribam district in Manipur from Saturday to Monday, for the second time since assuming office, as part of ongoing peace-building efforts, with plans to meet leaders from Meitei and Kuki communities to restore trust and stability.
According to sources, the Chief Minister is expected to arrive in Jiribam district around 12:55 pm on April 4 and hold interactions with community representatives amid efforts to ease tensions in the violence-affected region.
During the visit, Singh will stop at Leingangpokpi Police Outpost, Jiribam District Hospital and Lamlenkhul to review ground-level conditions and interact with officials and residents.
The visit follows his meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on April 1, where the law and order situation in Manipur and the need to accelerate the peace process were discussed.
