The Manipur government has extended the closure of all educational institutions in the state until September 14 taking into considerating the rise in violent protests by students in the state capital and its adjacent areas.
The directive, issued on Wednesday, applies to Government, Government-aided, Private, and Central Schools, as well as Government and Private Colleges under the Higher & Technical Education Department.
The decision was communicated through separate orders from the Directorate of Education-Schools and the Higher & Technical Education Department. Both departments cited ongoing concerns as the reason for the extension.
