A woman from Manipur was arrested in Greater Noida for allegedly stabbing her South Korean live-in partner to death following a late-night argument while the couple was consuming alcohol, police said on Monday.

The victim, identified as Duck Jee Yuh, a South Korean national and branch manager at a reputed mobile phone company, was brought to the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) Hospital with multiple stab injuries late on Sunday night. Doctors declared him dead on arrival, after which the hospital alerted the local police.

The accused, Lunjeana Pamai of Thangal in Manipur, who admitted the victim to the hospital, reportedly confessed during police questioning to having stabbed Yuh. Police said the couple had been living together in a luxury apartment in Greater Noida for nearly two years.

According to investigators, the incident occurred after a heated argument broke out between the two while they were drinking alcohol. The verbal altercation allegedly escalated into a physical fight, during which Pamai is suspected to have stabbed Yuh in the chest with a knife.

“During the argument, in a fit of rage, the accused stabbed the deceased, causing fatal injuries,” a police officer said.

Pamai reportedly rushed Yuh to the hospital following the incident, but he succumbed to his injuries before medical treatment could be administered. A case has been registered at Knowledge Park Police Station.

In an official statement, the police said: “A South Korean national was brought dead to GIMS Hospital on January 4, 2026. Preliminary investigation revealed that he was admitted by his live-in partner, Lunjeana Pamai of Thangal, Manipur, who has allegedly stabbed him to death with a knife. She has been arrested, and further investigation is ongoing.”

Investigators also revealed that the couple’s relationship had been strained for some time. Police sources claimed that Yuh frequently consumed alcohol and was allegedly physically abusive towards Pamai, which often led to disputes between them.

The accused has claimed that she did not intend to kill her partner and that the stabbing took place in the heat of the moment. Her statement is being verified as part of the ongoing investigation.

Pamai remains in police custody, and further legal action will be decided based on the findings of the investigation, police said.
