A video of a massive snow avalanche in the Dhauladhar Hills of Himachal Pradesh has gone viral on social media. The dramatic event was caught live near the Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha building in Tapovan, Dharamsala.
The Dhauladhar range, recently transformed into a snowy wonderland, has been attracting tourists and locals eager to enjoy the winter beauty.
On October 7, around 5 pm, two women were filming a casual reel against the snowy backdrop. Suddenly, a large portion of the mountain broke loose, sending tonnes of snow tumbling down in a roaring avalanche.
The video, now widely shared online, has left viewers both awestruck and alarmed. Many called it “nature’s fury caught live,” describing it as both thrilling and terrifying.
Eyewitnesses in Dharamsala and Palampur said the avalanche was visible even from the foothills, with a massive white plume sliding down the slopes of the Dhauladhar range.
