In a shocking incident, a 25-year-old man named Arshad was killed in front of his two children on Tuesday night in the Lohia Nagar police station area of Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.

Arshad, a resident of Zaidi Farm, had gone to the swimming pool in Bhadana with his children to bathe.

The tragic event unfolded when Arshad got into an argument with Bilal, escalating into a confrontation. The situation took a deadly turn when Bilal pulled out a weapon and shot Arshad in the head at point-blank range.

The incident, captured on CCTV, shows the victim checking his phone while a man tries to intervene before Bilal fires the fatal shot. Arshad collapsed to the ground as bystanders fled in panic.

The police believe an old rivalry between the two men may have led to the altercation. After being shot, Arshad was rushed to a private hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

The City Superintendent of Police, Ayush Vikram, confirmed that the Panchnama of the deceased’s body has been completed and sent for postmortem.

Following the incident, a case has been registered against Bilal based on a complaint from Arshad's family. A police team has been formed to apprehend the accused.
